Bank Robbery Client receives 24 month reduction in sentence |

The client convicted of armed bank robbery and was elgible for career offender status. The United States department of parole and probation requested 188 months. The United States Attorney argued for 188 months. Attorney Chris Rasmussen countered with a sentencing memorandum outlining the poor jail conditions. During oral argument Chris Rasmussen continued with his position that his lengthy pretrial sentence in our local jail was cruel and unusual punishment. The Judge agreed and reduced his sentence under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines by 24 months.
